What is M25 about?
Missions 2025: Your Witness is an initiative by Faith Methodist Church, building upon the legacy of Missions 2006 (M06), which saw over 1,200 members engaging in missions almost two decades ago. Rooted in Acts 1:8, the M25 movement calls each worshipper to embrace their role as witnesses of God’s goodness, sharing their personal faith journeys with their families, friends, and communities.
Aiming to create a culture of openness and authenticity, the initiative encourages sharing stories that reflect Christ’s love. In addition to local outreach, Missions 2025 extends globally, with worshippers embarking on international missions and partnerships. It invites every member to be part of this transformative journey, reigniting the passion for faith and service as the church collectively answers God’s call to be “[His] witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”.
How many people is the church aiming to send to the mission fields in 2025?
M25 aims to mobilise the entire Faith church family to engage in one act of local outreach and to go on at least one mission trip to the regions beyond. The intent is not merely to fulfil a numerical goal but to expose the congregation to different modes of witnessing.
Will other ministries continue in 2025 while M25 is going on? For example, will there be discipleship and prayer courses as usual?
Ministries essential to the life of the church will carry on as usual. Where possible, all ministries are strongly encouraged to align with M25 and the theme “Your Witness” for 2025 in your ministry activities. Ministry leaders could discuss with your respective Pastoral Team Member or overseeing Pastor. If you have ideas to mobilise your ministry for M25, please speak with the M25 Committee.
Can ministries use the M25 logo for our ministry activities?
If your ministry activity is part of or aligned with the M25 initiative, you may use the M25 logo in your publicity collaterals. Please speak with the M25 Committee if in doubt.
I have a question regarding the local/ overseas activities. Who can I contact?
We are happy to help. Please do read through the FAQs on this page first. If your question is not covered here, please email us at M25@faithmc.sg. Please state the Activity Code (for local outreach opportunities) or the Trip Code (for overseas mission trips) in the email subject field.
Can we plan our own local outreach activity?
Please contact the M25 Committee at M25@faithmc.sg to discuss the details. We would like to understand more about your plans.
Is TTB and SUNJAM also organising their own outreach activities for the youths and children?
Yes, both TTB and SUNJAM are planning outreach opportunities for youths and children. In addition to those, families with children/ youth are encouraged to include them in the outreach that they are doing.
Can I bring along a non-Christian friend/ family member to the activity?
This depends on the objective of the activity. If the objective is community service, and both the service agency and the activity leader are agreeable, please go ahead to invite your friend to join you. Conversely, if the objective of the activity is to be a Christian witness, to share the gospel or to build bridges for Jesus, it would then not be appropriate for someone who is not a Christian to carry out these activities. If you are unsure, please check with the service organisation.
I have a contact for a local outreach activity. Can it be included into the list of local opportunities and opened to the church?
Please contact the M25 Committee at M25@faithmc.sg to discuss the details. We would like to understand more about your contact and opportunities.
My Life Group is already involved in Adopt-A-Block (AAB)/ Adopt-A-Family (AAF)/ God Of Love Delivery (G.O.L.D.). Is this considered as having fulfilled the local outreach component already?
Thanks for your faithfulness in reaching out to the community! These are certainly considered local outreach activities. We encourage you to carry on doing this. If your Life Group is able to do more, please consider other outreach opportunities and participating as a group. In this way, your group members will also be exposed to other forms of witnessing for Jesus.
Is witnessing to friends and family considered as Local Outreach?
Yes, certainly! Acts 1:8 speaks of being God’s witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. The scope of ‘Jerusalem’ would include the people around us – family, friends, co-workers, neighbours etc. There are several opportunities to invite your family and friends to church, such as the Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn outreach by the Mandarin Ministry, Holy Week, Christmas etc. Our Sunday church services are also excellent opportunities for you to bring your friends and family members who have yet to know the Lord Jesus Christ.
I work with a local Christian service agency and require volunteers. Can we partner with you to include some of our activities into your 2025 list of outreach and service opportunities?
Please contact the M25 Committee at M25@faithmc.sg to discuss the details. We would like to understand more about your activities.

I am an experienced mission trip leader/ goer. Can I be exempted for the mission trip training?
We encourage all participants, including experienced leaders or trippers, to attend the training. The content is vital for ensuring that everyone is aligned with the specific goals and expectations of each trip.
I can’t attend any of the mission trip trainings. Can I still go for the trip?
Please contact the M25 Committee at M25@faithmc.sg to discuss your situation. We would like to understand your circumstances further.

Can we plan our own mission trip?
Please contact the M25 Committee at M25@faithmc.sg to discuss the details. We would like to understand more about your plans.
Is TTB and SUNJAM also organising their own mission trips for the youths and children?
Yes, both TTB and SUNJAM are organising mission trips for youths and children.
I have a contact for a mission field. Can it be included into the list of mission trips and opened to the church?
Please contact the M25 Committee at M25@faithmc.sg to explore this opportunity. We would like to understand more about the mission field and its potential.
Are there any subsidies for members going on mission trips?
While we encourage all members to self-fund their mission trips as an expression of their faith journey, financial support is available.
Can I bring along a non-Christian friend/ family member to the mission trip?
We generally do not encourage non-Christians to join mission trips as the main objective of a mission trip is to be a witness for Jesus Christ and to make disciples according to our Christian faith. It would hence not be appropriate for someone who is not of the Christian faith to be involved in mission work. Nonetheless, if there are extenuating circumstances and you wish to clarify further, please contact the M25 Committee for further deliberation.
My Life Group is interested in a trip with a mission agency. Will we be joined by other external trippers?
It depends on the number of trippers from your Life Group and the min/max number of trippers set by the agency.
The mission trip we are interested in specified a minimum group size. What if we do not have enough people for the trip?
We will try to mobilise other people to join the trip/ group.
We are interested in a particular mission trip but can we request/ work with the mission agency to customise some of the activities for our Life Group/ ministry?
Yes, you can request but the mission agency will make the final decision.
Can M25 Committee customise a mission trip to suit our Life Group/ ministry?
We encourage you to look for a trip that suits your Life Group in terms of skillsets and expertise. We have more than 100 trips for you to choose from.
We do not have time to go on a mission trip. Can we support by prayer?
Yes, you can support by prayer. We highly encourage you to also consider signing up for local missions if time and/or mobility is a concern.
How is the cost of a trip derived?
Trip costs estimate is mainly based on prevailing airfare and ministry expenses. Please note that trip costs are subject to change, particularly due to change in airfare, which tends to be more expensive nearer to date of travel. Ministry expenses may include food or daily necessities for community outreach, as well as materials for mission activities arranged by the respective mission agencies.
Where airfare is not included in a mission agency’s estimate, the M25 Committee has taken the prevailing airfares (as at November 2024) as an approximate:
Malaysia: S$369
Indonesia: S$432
Thailand: S$653
Cambodia: S$774
Vietnam: S$388
Timor Leste: S$1,100
What is the Bible Study about?
From 5 Jan to 9 Feb 2025, Life Groups will be doing a churchwide missions study in line with the church’s missions theme for the year. The five-week study will run in tandem with a pulpit series.
This study aims to deepen our understanding of missions within the overarching story of Scripture, illuminating God’s heart for all people. Our prayer is that we will be inspired to respond to His call, becoming agents of His grace and hope in a world longing for redemption.
We will be exploring these learning points in the Study:
• God’s mission is to reconcile with the fallen Humanity, to redeem us and to establish the kingdom of God.
• We are all called to participate in this mission with God By being called to a partnership with God
• Jesus brings this redemption to all, and we can follow in the footsteps of Jesus
• To bring the message of God’s Kingdom
• To bring that message to all the world, relying on God to empower us
• With our lives, with our words and deeds as witness
Where can we download the Bible Study?
The English and Chinese PDF versions of the Bible Study can be downloaded here or under ‘Resources’.
Do we need to meet weekly for this Bible Study?
You are strongly encouraged to meet every week for the duration of the five weeks of study. The corresponding pulpit sermon series will also run weekly on Sundays.
I’m not in a Life Group. Can I join one for this Bible Study?
Yes, we welcome and encourage everyone in the Faith church family to journey together. Please sign up to join a ‘Your Witness Bible Study Group’ here.
